Three Easy Halloween Projects!

 It's October and Halloween will be here before you know it.  If you're looking for some easy (and inexpensive) ideas for decorating your home, I've got you covered.  Each of these projects have been previously featured on my blog, but I thought I'd round them up and share them with you in one place. 

First up is my Wire Pumpkin Wreath.  
All you need is a wire pumpkin frame from the Dollar Store, some spider/lace fabric, and ribbon.  If you can't find the fabric, Halloween tights would work too!  This is an easy and inexpensive project that anyone can do.  All the details on making it can be found HERE.

The second project is my Witch's Hat.  
Start out with a wire frame, feather boa, a black rose, and witch legs - all from the Dollar Store. 
Add seam binding and some more of that spider/lace fabric and you're well on your way to a finished project.  The step-by-step instructions can be found HERE.

Last but not least is Witch's Brooms.
This project was from five years ago and is the easiest one yet.  All you need are sticks, weeds, and twine.  I had the twine and the sticks and weeds were found on a walk one day. The complete instructions can be found HERE.

You've been self-isolating, drinking some wine, and saving the corks for a project.  But, before you think I'm accusing you of drinking too much, we both know that every wine-drinker has a stash of corks somewhere in their house.  It's time to dig them out and finally DO something with them.

Wine Cork Wreath

Just a note...I promised to share the wreath and picture in a previous post.  Here they are:

Now, if you're anything like me, you've been saving wine corks for forever because there is a fabulous project that you will just HAVE to make with them.  The problem is, you haven't found it yet! Have no fear, your project is here!

To get started, you will need lots of these:
How many, you ask?  I estimate that I used between 200 and 250 corks. 


You will also need a straw wreath, like this: Don't forget to remove the plastic!
This next step is extremely important! Wrap some wire around the wreath and make a loop for hanging.  There is nothing worse than getting your wreath all done and then say to yourself, "Hmmm, how the heck do I hang this thing!?!

Organizing Your Essential Oils

Welcome to the first Ten on the 10th post for 2020.  Our theme is Organization/Home Hacks and I am thrilled to be hosting this month. We have lots of ideas for you,  so let's get started!

Have you been bitten by the essential oils bug?  I wasn't exactly bitten, but my daughter uses them and gifted my husband and me a set of oils and a diffuser, which we both love.  The problem was keeping those little bottles of oils organized.  The oils are kept in a cabinet and every time I went looking for a new oil to diffuse, I ended up pushing them around, knocking some over, until it looked something like this:
Since I like to keep things tidy, I needed a way to keep my oils organized.  While walking through the dollar store one day, I spied this little organizer and had an epiphany! It was the perfect size for those little bottles and each row was 'stepped'.
