Rosie in the Summertime
Hello again! It's me, Rosie and I'm back to share all the latest news.
The pandemic still isn't over and everyone around here stays home a lot, but they have gardens! The flowers are beautiful and the vegetable garden is producing lots of tomatoes, lettuce, zucchini, beans, and more.
I was told I should be helping with harvesting (whatever that means) and I needed to change my outfit. Fine with me - if you remember my last outfit of OR Scrubs, it wasn't my best look! So, I insisted it be cute and this is what Ann pulled out of the closet:
Well, in all honesty, she started out with the skirt and a white t-shirt. The skirt is definitely a win, but the shirt? Pretty boring. Back to the closet where the chambray shirt and belt were added....now we're talkin'!
I DO love the leather belt, even though it's a 'little' too big for me. Clearly someone has a smaller waist around here.........don't you dare tell anyone I said that!
Some jewelry was needed, so I picked out this necklace:
Next was the hat. Who can be expected to go outside in the sun without a hat?
And the outfit was looking pretty stylish, don't you think?
Then it happened.
Someone, who shall remain nameless....and wears a size 13,
started talking about shoes.
I was excited! SHOES! YAY!!
And then there were these:
Who in the H-E-DOUBLE TOOTHPICKS gives a girl a pair of size 13 sneakers to wear?? I can't go out (not even to the gardens) in these!
They had a good laugh over this. I was not amused!
So, I'm begging you, my faithful readers. Can someone please find me a cute pair of shoes? Maybe a strappy sandal? Or a wedge? Seriously, at this point I'd take flip flops!
I'm sure you understand my dilemma........... and is that laughter I'm hearing from the other room??????

DeleteThanks for stopping by....
Now that I'm home my daily attire is sweats in the morning when it's cool and shorts and T-shirt in the afternoon. I have two types of each look, one very used for the garden and one new for around the cabin. When the around the cabin version gets stained or warn, it becomes the new garden version. The retired garden version then goes to the rag back. Life is simple off the grid. - Margy
ReplyDeleteMy retired life is very similar. Rosie, on the other hand, likes to dress up! LOL
DeleteRosie, your outfit is well coordinated. Isnt it fun, what a simple leather belt, can bring to an outfit ?! Very cute. Full marks for the hat too. I think, you'll carry it well though. Thank you for joining Meraki Link party. We hope to see you this Monday too.
