Welcoming Spring With a Flower Plaque
One week ago today, we were buried under almost 2 feet of snow. I'm happy to report that it has all melted and the temperatures were in the 50's today. To celebrate Spring conquering Winter, I made this sweet little plaque.
This was an easy project created with items I had on-hand in about an hour. I started with these wood planks from the dollar store:
Since it would be hung, I drilled 2 holes at the top of one of the planks.
Then 2 coats of white craft paint were applied.
A piece of scrapbook paper was glued on.
Some fancy ribbon was glued to the top.
Another ribbon was added to the bottom
And a sparkly flower was added to the center.
For hanging, a piece of Baker's Twine was threaded through the drilled holes.

Beautiful, Ann! What a colorful way to welcome spring. That scrapbook paper is so eye catching and I've never seen such fancy ribbon before. I also really like your nail polish color. Spring, spring, spring!! 🌺 Oh...and Happy Easter, too!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Kim. I really needed to do something crafty, started going through the 'stash' and this was the result! Spring and Winter are having a bit of a power struggle right now around here. I hope Spring wins soon!

DeleteThis is just lovely, such a great way to use a really pretty scrap book paper. We are lucky here in the UK, the weather is improving and we have plenty of daffodils, tulips and blossom out at the moment. I'm sure they'll be a storm any day now to give the flowers a battering but for now we enjoy them :-)
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, Julie. We've had 2 snowstorms with Spring weather in-between them. This week looks good...we shall see!
DeleteAnn,
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for stopping by and for sending love to me and my family during this difficult time...
