A Bowl Full of Bunnies

Nothing says Easter and Springtime like a bowl full of bunnies!
This little project began when I saw this free pattern on Pinterest.

Now, I have to be honest.  This was not the first bunny I made.  It was the last and it was an extra.  Why?  Because I forgot to take any pictures while I made the others.
Before this one, there was a light blue bunny that was going to be the tutorial and yes, you guessed it, I forgot to take any pictures again.
Old age?
Menopause brain?
You pick!

Welcome to the Creative Craft Hop hosted by Sara from Birdz of a Feather this month.  If you just came from Terrie @ Decorate With Tip and More, welcome to the Cottage!  At the bottom of this post I'll direct you to the next stop on this hop, but be sure to visit all of the other stops for some amazing inspiration. They will all be listed.

Moving on.  After cutting the bunny out of wool-blend felt I used my 1/8" hole punch to create an eye.
It's pretty tiny.  Here's a pin next to it for perspective.
I attached it with a single stitch.
Once that was done, a blanket stitch was used to assemble the bunny.
The ears and head were stuffed once they were stitched.
All stitched and a 1" pom pom was glued on for a tail.
A tiny bow was made and attached with a stitch and a small dab of glue.
One more bunny done!
Make that two. Let's not forget the light blue bunny made right before this one.

These little bunnies were a cinch to make and I do think they are pretty adorable.

  1. Haha I've definitely taken photos of later examples because I've wanted to get it right first. These are so adorable. I'd be tempted to make a garland with them!

  4. Your bunnies are adorable Ann! I am not a sewer, but I think I can handle that stitch. I have worked through a whole project and forgot pics, it happens, we get excited to work on something new, and let's face it, taking pics throughout slows us down! Love the rainbow of colors you have in the bowl!

  20. These are just darling! I love the bright colors.. and I too often forget a "before" photo or to take photos along the way when I'm crafting or even working in the kitchen. It makes it awfully hard to share on the blog that way but I can't help but get caught up in what I'm doing sometimes.
