Thanksgiving Silverware Holder
It's November and before you know it, Thanksgiving will be upon us. I've created a pretty little holder for silverware that is sure to dress up the table.
Let me show you how I made it!

Start with a piece of burlap and fray the edges. I can't give you dimensions since everyone has napkins and silverware in different sizes. Let that be your guide.
To create a smooth edge for the pocket, fold one end over and glue.
Since mine was a bit of a tight fit (the piece of burlap was already cut and I wasn't going to waste it), I placed the napkin inside and glued the edges. In case you're wondering, no, I did not glue the napkin in place. Whew!
Time to embellish! I had some rick rack - an estate sale find, but it was a bit stained in places.
Don't you love the price?Tea-staining to the rescue! I used my potato masher to keep it submerged.
Stained and dried, I cut the lengths needed and glued them to the outer edges.
Leaving the napkin inside (remember, it's a tight fit?) a piece of waxed paper was slid inside to prevent any glue from seeping through the loose weave of the burlap.
Two silk leaves and a bow made of satin ribbon were added.
