Rosie's Winter Look

It's February and we've recently had a big snow storm, a cold snap, and there's another storm on the way.  Ugh!  I'm not a huge fan of Winter and neither is Rosie.  She decided enough is enough and went in search of a warm winter coat.  This is what she found:
This coat was found in a vintage shop a few years ago.  I don't usually buy vintage clothing, but this coat was special.  Clearly Rosie agrees!
She loves the fur collar and trim.
The deep pockets and the fur cuffs are also a favorite!

Fortunately, I was able to hide the yellow hat that she loves so much.  There was no way I was letting her ruin the look of this coat, even though she would think it was fabulous!

You may remember her wearing it during a outfit change last year:
Doesn't she look 'elegant' in my painting shirt?

The coat must be keeping her warm since I haven't heard any complaints.  As you know, Rosie is a bit of a sassy fashionista and if I had to guess, I'd say she'll be wearing it until April when she'll be searching for her Spring outfit.

If you'd like to read more about the coat, click HERE for the details.  It's from the 1950s and I do still wear it, getting compliments on it every time.  For a coat that is approximately 70 years old it's in wonderful condition and very warm! Although, I have a feeling I won't be wearing it much this year!

Also, if you'd like to read more about Rosie, she has her own page

How are you staying warm this Winter?

Hot Cocoa?

Fuzzy Socks?

Cozy Blanket?

Do tell.  Inquiring minds want to know....and so does Rosie!

  1. I am cuddled under an electric throw at the moment and it's set on high. I have to say that I am toasty, but not nearly as fashionable as Rosie. That coat is spectacular. A vintage treasure for sure! Stay warm!!

  3. I’m staying inside in my cozy craft room. I’ve been busy piecing a quilt and a half (2 quilts from one cutting) and scanning some genealogy documents. I feel so blessed to have a warm home. Hope you have a warm and great week! Zenda

  5. I agree with Michelle, a hot beverage warms me from the inside out, but a fuzzy blanket helps too!

  8. Hi Ann, The coat looks lovely. It does have a vintage flair but frankly, there's something so elegant about the 50s, 60s clothes.
