Simple & Inexpensive Gift Ideas

It's November and before we know it the holidays will be here.  I have three super-simple and inexpensive gift ideas that you can whip up in no time at all.  Just what everyone needs, right?

Welcome back to 10 on the 10th, a group of bloggers sharing ideas and inspiration for under $10.  Our theme this month is 'The Holidays' and I plan to keep it simple. Let's get started, shall we?
First up is an idea that I had a little over 3 years ago.  They got named 'Spa Cupcakes' and are easy to make.  Get yourself a bath puff, I found mine at the Dollar Store.
I love the gold running through it.
The next step was to cut a cupcake liner using my Cricut.
If you don't have a Cricut machine you can easily duplicate this pattern.  Use a compass or the edge of a plate to make a semi-circle.  Move it down about 2-2.5" and draw another one.  This cupcake liner is about 8.5" wide, so connect your two semi-circles at 8.5".  Cut it out, tape the edges, and you're all set.  If you have fancy scissors, you can use them to cut the top edge.
Add your bath puff, put it in a cello bag, and tie it up with some pretty ribbon.

The second gift idea also has a cupcake theme, but this one involves socks.  Those fuzzy socks that can be found at department stores, discount stores, and the Dollar Store.  I chose a red pair and rolled them up.  A rubber band was wrapped around the bottom and the socks were placed into a cupcake liner.
Place it in a cello bag tied with pretty ribbon and you're done.
The last gift idea I have for you involves a little bit of sewing.  Nothing complicated, just straight lines.  Start with two 4" squares of fabric.
Put the right sides together and sew them on all sides, leaving a small opening for turning.
Clip the corners.
Turn it right side out.
Fill the bag you've just made with a 1/4 cup of rice.  Don't use instant rice!
Use a funnel to save yourself some aggravation.
Sorry - action shot and using one hand!
Sew the opening closed and repeat the process with another pair of 4" inch squares of fabric.
You have just made a pair of hand-warmers!

Tie them together with some ribbon and add a tag with instructions to microwave for 45 seconds.

The great thing about these gift ideas is that they are perfect for a neighbor, co-worker, or Secret Santa gift.  If you want to 'kick it up a notch', add a gift card!

It's  10 on the 10th so you must visit my friends and their blogs for more holiday ideas.  Their links are all listed below.
