This & That - It's Fall!
I've been dealing with a sinus/ear infection for the past month and this second round of antibiotics better do the trick. When I took the time to think about it, I realized the last time I needed an antibiotic was over ten years ago...I guess I'm making up for it! My energy level hasn't been what is usually is so here's a little 'this & that'...
The other day, the morning sun was streaming into the dining room...
The other day, the morning sun was streaming into the dining room...
Our daughter sent us a care package from her recent trip to Italy that included these:
My husband added some tomatoes from the garden:
Which resulted in this amazing dinner:
The day I went back for my follow-up appointment and learned that I still had the sinus/ear infection, he made homemade bread and stew to make me feel better:
Yes, he's a keeper!
If you follow me on Instagram, you saw this ironing board that I found at roadside sale for $5:
Apparently I was on a roll because I found this child-size one this past week in a local 'junk' shop for $3!
The big one is going in the laundry room, but I haven't decided what to do with the small one yet. Any ideas? I'm open to suggestions!
Come back again soon, new projects are in the works, and, honestly, I don't sit around and rest well at all!
I hope you'll pin, share, comment, and follow. If you click on those 3 little lines at the top right of the blog, you'll see where to find me...or click on 'share'.
I'm sorry to hear you're still not feeling any better. Hope the second round of meds works. Love the ironing boards you found!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Christine. I'm pretty excited about the ironing boards!
DeleteCould you hang it on the wall to act as a shelf and the legs would act as hangers of sorts... or maybe keep it folded... I'm not sure how it would look, you would have to try it but it might be cute, especially if there is room in your laundry room for it!

That is a cute idea, Tania. Unfortunately, the laundry room is also our powder room and is pretty small...old house problems!
DeleteOh darn!
DeleteI know! My husband keeps saying he's going to have to buy me a bigger house!!! LOL
DeleteAnn, I hope you feel better super soon. Get snuggly this weekend and stay warm with all that good food. Lucky finds! I would take the little one and make a sign out of it. It's such a great shape. You could get a vinyl wall decal and stick it on and it won't do any damage. This way if you want to keep the integrity of the piece you can remove it when you're ready!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Kim. I'm still working on it, but I go back to the Dr. Tuesday. The vinyl wall decal is a great idea - didn't think of that one!
DeleteThat ironing board was a great find! Thanks for sharing at Vintage Charm!
ReplyDeleteWhat are the odds of finding two in a row? Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteGet well soon! We are a house full of people with colds here too.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to seeing what you end up making with those ironing boards.
Thank you, Julie.,,stay tuned!
