That's right!  It's time to make another glass bowl Christmas tree.  You may remember the one I made last year.   Wow, was that a popular post!  Since then, I've been collecting thrifted glass and have a new one to share.    This post may contain affiliate links. The process has 4 easy steps and to be perfectly honest, the hardest part is Step 1:  F inding the Glass.   For all the details on finding your glass, check out the original post.   Keep in mind, the pieces have to stack together and you want some flared edges to give you that 'Christmas tree' look.  This time I found a hefty candlestick to serve as the trunk of the tree and a beautiful plate with pointed edges. Since downsizing to a smaller house it's been my mission to also downsize my belongings. That includes the thrifted, yard sale, estate sale, and road-side finds stashed in my craft room.  Believe me when I say there are plenty of them and I have my work cut-out for me!   That being said, let's get started on this little tree!   Hello, Everyone!  It's almost Halloween and I thought I'd add a little bit of 'spooky' to my decor.   Just a little ! It all started at the dollar store where I spotted these napkins: I remembered I had a jar that's been hanging around the craft room for quite a long time.  You may remember it from my Chair Back Shelf project . It worked great as a vase for a silk rose, but it was time for a change...and  decoupage . I took one of those napkins and separated the layers.  Having just a single layer is very important if you want your napkin to stay in place. Mod Podge was applied to the jar... ...and the napkin was placed on it. Some plastic wrap smoothed out any wrinkles. Since the jar curved at the top and I wanted to preserve that spider, I cut the top of the napkin into strips.  No Mod Podge was applied to that curve at this point.
