Mums the Word!

Image
The kids came for a visit and the weather was absolutely perfect - mid 70s!  I did manage to get a little fall decorating done on the porch and nothing says "FALL" like baskets of mums.  This little chair came from an Estate Sale a few years ago.  It was sitting in the backyard and I paid $5 for it.  The only thing I did to it was coat it with some polyurethane for protection. The apple basket was found at a local flea market.  At the top, you can see a little bit of the hand-forged hook that it hangs it.   I like to keep my decorating simple and I always try to use what I have, if I can't, I try to pay as little as possible.  After all, a retired gal doesn't have a ton of $$ to throw around!  Soon, it will be time to turn it up a notch for Halloween.  I have a few ideas and I can't wait to see how they look! Have a great week and thanks for stopping by the cottage!

Let the Adventure(s) Begin!

Welcome to the cottage - I'm so happy you stopped by!  There is SO much to tell about this house, from the first time I laid eyes on it, to moving in and getting started on making it our own. So, pour yourself a cup of something delicious and join me on the porch for the stories of this little cottage.
