5-Minute Spring Nest

Spring is really having a hard time this year.  How do I know?  It's April and I'm still wearing my winter coat!  I decided another Spring project was in order, one with a minimum of muss & fuss.
You may remember the Pairpoint silver bowl I found last Summer:
I decided to turn it into some quick Spring decor.
The first thing I did was take apart the Grapevine Heart and soak the vines to make them a little more pliable. I wound them tight enough to fit in the bowl.

Some Spanish Moss was placed in the bottom of the bowl and I found these sweet little eggs at the dollar store:
Spring Decor Project done!

Has Spring arrived at your house?  If it has, Lucky You!  In the meantime, I'll hope for next week.

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. So sweet, I thought you had got busy with a can of spray paint when I saw the eggs, but you managed to find some already like that - brilliant!
Here in the UK Spring is just about here now, the snow has gone and the daffodils are out everywhere, not quite ready to loose my coat yet though although we've had a couple of days that have been more 'jacket' than 'coat' !!

    1. I was amazed that I found those eggs too...and in the dollar store! I wish we had some daffodils here, but, not yet. Sooner or later, Spring HAS to show up!

  2. What a coincidence! I made "spring nests" this morning with excelsior, Spanish moss, and plastic eggs. Tiny ones--I used acorn caps from a friend. Some had 3 eggs, some only 2 and a tiny mushroom bird. I'm still in my nightgown ; am I having fun? Heck, yeah! Your arrangement is lovely and good till well into the summer!
